Each knife is personally designed and handcrafted in his KZN workshop.
The best tool steel is selected and painstakingly crafted, before being professionally hardened to ensure a hard-wearing, durable cutting edge. Each blade is tested by Rod before moving to the Finishing stage.
Handle materials are local and most have been collected in the field by Rod himself. Examples include Warthog, Giraffe bone, Hippo tooth, Kudu and Impala horn, Tamboti, Red Ivory, Leadwood and Blackwood.
Leather sheathes and carry pouches are hand shaped and stitched and marked as such.
If required, a specific knife can be designed to perfectly fit the users hand.
